Common Heath

Ematurga atomaria (70.275)

The Common Heath is a very local and scarce species in Warwickshire as it is restricted to heathland habitats in the north, much of which have been lost over the last century and calcareous grassland in the south of the region.

The Common Heath is on the wing in May and June and is easily spotted flying during the day in suitable habitat.
